Shreveport’s Irene Gallion to Feature Art in ‘Chillin in the Garden’ Exhibit

— Local Shreveport-based artist
Irene Gallion
will display her art pieces in an individual exhibition.

The Shreveport-based violinist known as QMajor overcame bullying to achieve success in his musical career.

Gallion’s artwork will be showcased at the “Chillin in The Garden” exhibition. Her creations largely revolve around the subjects of community, family, and friendship with the intention to motivate and encourage those who view them. Born and brought up in Natchitoches, she started painting during her elementary school years. In 2019, she presented her inaugural individual art showcase named “Me, Myself & Irene” in Shreveport.

The Shreveport-based artist has been named a resident artist at the Bossier Arts Council for 2024 and will be recognized as the 2025 Critics’ Choice for Visual Artist.

The “Chillin In The Garden” exhibition will be held at the Lake Street Gallery on Thursday, June 12, between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
