The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation declares shortly before 3 a.m. local time that they have completed handing out packages of food at their distribution center in Central Gaza, despite repeated warnings from the IDF for Palestinians not to go near relief locations until after 6 a.m.
The GHF announcement is posted on its Arabic Facebook page, where it interacts with Palestinians regarding the operational timings of the distribution centers.
A representative from GHF did not clarify why the Israeli and U.S.-backed group seemed to be handing out assistance during the night, even though the IDF had warned Palestinians against approaching these locations on foot.
This development follows numerous events where Palestinians attempting to obtain assistance were victims of attacks. At minimum, in eight such cases, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) admits to firing warning shots which hit individuals deviating from designated pathways, yet they refute the death tolls reported by both the Red Cross and healthcare entities associated with Hamas.
