The two-day Kansas-Oklahoma 100 Mile Highway Sale results in a dozen small towns being filled with vendors. Alongside numerous individual sellers and smaller groups of traders scattered throughout, there are also big collective areas where over fifty individuals display their items for sale.

Besides clothing, kitchen tools, toys, and typical goods, the 301 Endless Yard Sale in North Carolina features unusual items like premium antiques, vintage farming machinery, and an occasional boat spread across its extensive 100-mile stretch. Over 500 sellers arrange their stalls throughout this path.

The Michigan’s Longest Garage Sale extends the distance of this route to over 200 miles, stretching along the U.S. Heritage Trail from New Buffalo all the way to Detroit. In addition to typical items for sale, visitors can find freshly grown garden produce, handcrafted jellies and jams, and enjoy live musical performances.

A famous trail now serves as the path for the U.S. 40 Yard Sale. This extensive stretch covers more than 800 miles along Interstate Route 40, extending from Maryland to Missouri. The highway was among the initial nationwide routes established back in 1926, connecting New Jersey to California at that time. Nowadays, countless travelers journey this route hoping to find deals and rare treasures.

Should your travel plans not align with the timing of any seasonal garage sales, consider visiting Indiana’s Antique Alley, which offers an extensive selection of vintage finds throughout the entire year. This location consists of two interconnected loops that guide you through numerous dealers based in Richmond and the picturesque areas nearby in East Central Indiana. Here, one can discover a wide array of goods including custom wooden crafts, colored glass artwork, antique furnishings, and classic attire.

Should you stop by a garage sale, you might discover that elusive item you’ve been hunting for ages. Alternatively, you can simply take pleasure in browsing through the exhibits, engaging with fellow buyers, and recapturing a piece of America’s not-so-distant history.
