An

Manchester
had to make an unscheduled landing at Gatwick following a mid-air emergency.

Gatwick
The airport at approximately 8:30 am on Sunday.

The nature of the emergency remains unclear, as does whether the aircraft was attended by emergency services upon landing.

This detour occurred just weeks following another easyJet flight from Tenerife to Liverpool which made an earlier landing at a northwestern Spanish airport on March 25 because of a medical emergency.

Efforts were undertaken to resuscitate a 67-year-old passenger who had lost consciousness.

Passengers then stayed at the Santiago-Rosalia de Castro Airport, in Galicia, over night before heading home the next day.

A few weeks before this happened,
easyJet
The pilot initiated an urgent detour when family members got into a fight at 30,000 feet.
due to a boy watching The Karate Kid at an excessively high volume.
