Rochester’s RenFest Returns: Sixth Year of Fun Begins!

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Renaissance Festival marked its sixth annual celebration of medieval-themed activities for people of all ages on Sunday.

The festival took place between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Three Heads Brewing in Rochester.

This annual gathering aims to boost awareness and gather contributions for Mended Little Hearts of Greater Rochester via various activities and entertaining characters. The organization provides assistance and programs for those affected by cardiac issues along with their family members.

Senator Brouk will be hosting the 4th yearly baby shower event for new parents.

The event featured The Sun and Snail Puppet Show, along with tarot and oracle readings. There was also a costume competition, portrait sessions, axe-throwing activities, participation from The Guild of Rochester, as well as performances by the Rochester Academy of Irish Dance, Merry Mischief, and Jamison the Bagpiper, among other elements inspired by the Renaissance era. Visitors had the opportunity to purchase keepsakes and handmade items from multiple sellers, including brand-new Rochester Renaissance goods.

Along with the celebrations, visitors could enjoy foods like smoked turkey legs from Big Boys Eatery and shop at various establishments such as Bewitched Coffee Co., Countertop Creamery, and Reservoir Dogz during the event.
