Long Beach to Unveil and Fundamentally Support 2025 Pride Parade

For the second time in a row, the City of Long Beach has been chosen as the official venue for the 2025 Long Beach Pride Parade, guaranteeing the continuation of the event into 2025. This year’s parade will be jointly sponsored by the city itself, alongside the Port of Long Beach and Council District Two.

The Long Beach Pride Parade isn’t merely an event; it’s a beloved custom that embodies the spirit and essence of our city,” stated Mayor Rex Richardson. “It’s a colorful display of love, acceptance, and unity, emphasizing the strength found in authentic living and collective solidarity.” He added, “Let’s come together to recognize and support our LGBTQ+ community, cherish the profound variety that characterizes Long Beach, and keep working towards a more inclusive and empathetic tomorrow for everyone.

For many years, the parade has been an essential event in both Long Beach and the broader Los Angeles area, drawing massive crowds of onlookers and participants annually. This upcoming 42nd edition of the parade is scheduled for Sunday, May 18th. It will kick off at the intersection of Ocean Boulevard and Lindero Avenue, then proceed down famous sections of Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue within downtown Long Beach. Under the leadership of this year’s grand marshals, the Long Beach Pride Parade will include numerous participating organizations, businesses, and community stakeholders presenting lively floats and exhibits.

Companies and local groups eager to join the procession may apply for inclusion.

The Pride Parade isn’t merely a significant local gathering; it represents a crucial initiative during a period when our country faces considerable vulnerability,” stated Second District Councilwoman Cindy Allen. “This year’s theme focuses on ‘The Strength of Unity,’ reflecting how Long Beach has consistently championed LGBTQ+ rights. We remain steadfast in our dedication to the LGBTQ+ community and aim to keep leading efforts towards equal treatment. Supporting this year’s parade is truly an honor as I am aware of its profound impact on our citizens, enterprises, and various LGBTQ+ groups throughout the region.

The city has appointed these 2025 grand marshals:
