FRANKFORT, IL — According to a press release, the Cancer Support Center is set to hold its yearly Walk of Hope event in Frankfort on June 1st.

The walk is scheduled for Commissioners Park and will align with National Cancer Survivor Day. According to the event planners, the public is welcome to join in, with registrations starting at 8 a.m. on June 1st.

The stroll will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Treats and coffee will also be up for grabs from Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, along with various children’s activities such as an inflatable obstacle course.

Hosting this event serves as a strong indicator of the robustness and fortitude within our community,” stated Executive Director Kristen Kolwelter in an official statement. “Your involvement in the Walk of Home plays a crucial role in enhancing the welfare of those around us—neighbors, friends, and family members who are facing the trials brought about by cancer. As one, we significantly impact their lives.

The event this year is brought to you by Affiliated Oncologists Gynecologic Cancer Institute of Chicago.

The walk aids the Cancer Support Center’s aim to empower everyone affected by cancer by offering various services at no cost.
