SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Enthusiasts of pickleball in Sioux Falls had the opportunity to pick up their paddles on Sunday and visit the Remedy Pickleball Pub for an event supporting Journey of Hope.
The group organized the pickleball tournament to fund its hygiene initiative. This project assists households facing hygiene insecurity in southeastern South Dakota by providing items such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, and others.
Journey of Hope centers around assisting individuals dealing with addiction and mental health problems.
During May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month, our aim is for individuals to understand their inherent value—that they are uniquely and marvelously crafted,” remarked Kari Palmer, the Executive Director of Journey of Hope. “One effective way to achieve this is simply by uniting people through a friendly game of pickleball.
The pickleball tournament welcomed all participants, irrespective of their proficiency.
