This weekend in Maggie Valley, you will be able to listen and sense the rumble of Harley-Davidsons and other motorbikes.
The spring installment of Thunder in the Smokies began this afternoon at the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds in Haywood County.
The event includes an abundance of cuisine, live musical performances, and competitions.

This occurrence takes place each spring, summer, and autumn. A multitude of individuals participate in this event.
We queried one of the event organizers about what draws cyclists to the region.

“The mountains! The mountain routes. Definitely. With today’s advancements in technology and improvements in these mountain roads, they have become far more motorcycle-friendly compared to what they were before,” stated Jody Keller from the Waynesville Sons of the American Legion Detachment.
The Thunder in the Smokies event continues through Sunday.
