Universal Destinations & Experiences has submitted a fresh trademark application for the title “Isle of Curiosity.”
Isle of Curiosity
Universal filed the
trademark
On May 1, it is presently waiting for an assignment. Although it features a logo mark (as shown above), Universal does not assert any specific font style, size, or color.
The trademark encompasses the following services:
Services related to amusement parks, theme parks, and waterparks; Offering entertainment through various attractions found in these types of venues; Provision of arcade-based amusements; Organizing recreational spaces designed for both kids and adults to engage interactively; Presenting live shows featuring characters in costume; Producing escape room experiences as an entertaining activity; Delivering live musical concerts and DJ sets along with dance performances.
Just because an item appears on a trademark, it doesn’t guarantee that the name will actually be utilized for that particular service. Similarly, registering a name or slogan through a trademark does not automatically ensure it will see use at some point.
The Isle of Curiosity could certainly serve as the name for a section of a new theme park — perhaps even a region within it.
It could be for
Universal Kids Resort
, featuring an island at its core as shown in the conceptual artwork. Recently, Universal submitted a
Trademark for Jurassic World: Cretaceous Coaster
, and similarly probable for the Texas-themed amusement park.
Since the trademark was submitted in the U.S., it’s unlikely the name will be utilized at Universal Studios Great Britain. Recently, however, Universal has filed for
Trademark for Halloween Horror Nights
in the U.K.
Additionally, currently in development is
Universal Horror Unleashed
In Las Vegas, however, the land-locked warehouse setting likely won’t include any “Isles.”
“Islay of Wonder” might as well represent an encounter within an established amusement park.
