For four distinct airlines, a total of 120 complimentary trips were reserved across a span of six years.

According to a
press release
The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida reports that 35-year-old Tiron Alexander falsely posed as a flight attendant for several airlines from 2018 through 2024. He gained access to the carriers’ crew-only booking systems to secure complimentary flights utilizing their staff privileges.

On June 5, Alexander was found guilty of wire fraud and falsely gaining access to a secured section of an airport. The legal papers mention several airlines including Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and Delta Air Lines.

Alexander took 34 free flights with one airline by posing as a crew member, utilizing 30 distinct identification numbers and employment start dates for these bookings. Additionally, he asserted that he was a flight attendant for three other airlines to secure even more trips.

Alexander is set to be sentenced on August 25. The highest possible sentence for wire fraud is 20 years, and he could also face up to 10 years for falsely accessing secure airport zones.
