Biloxi, Miss. (WLOX) — A fresh enterprise is set to commence operations right at the center of Biloxi. On Wednesday, local officials along with project initiators conducted a groundbreaking event for Home2 Suites by Hilton, which aims to offer a welcoming family environment for visitors.
“Each suite features fully equipped kitchenettes. All rooms include a dishwasher, a complete refrigerator… Additionally, this property caters specifically to families planning their vacations,” stated Chico Patel, the CEO of
Wealth Hospitality.
Patel mentions that this is the ninth Home2 Suites opening. He states that the hotel will provide job opportunities for Biloxi residents.
“It will generate approximately 20 to 25 long-term positions upon our opening. Clearly, there will also be local employment opportunities during the construction phase. This project represents an investment of around $25 million, which makes us quite satisfied with what we’ve been able to establish,” Patel stated.
He mentions that his team has conducted thorough studies on the region and cites tourism as the primary reason for constructing a hotel in this location.
Biloxi presents significant barriers to entry as a market, yet we’ve observed robust weekend activity and notably high occupancy levels,” Patel stated. “Our investigation along with discussions with Hilton confirmed an unmet need and demand within the region.” He further explained, “Keesler Air Force Base is nearby, plus there are numerous conventions and various events such as auto shows happening regularly, which create substantial interest from visitors in this locale.
The construction phase is expected to last approximately 16 to 17 months. The hotel aims to commence operations during the third quarter of 2026.
In addition to this innovative move, Wealth Hospitality handed over checks made payable to the Biloxi Police Department and the Fire Department.
The hotel will be situated at 612 Beach Boulevard in Biloxi.
