EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The celebration has officially begun in downtown Henderson.
The “Blues and Barbecue Festival” by W.C. Handy is currently happening, featuring live music, delicious food, and various games.
According to the event’s website, this summer festival has grown into one of the biggest free music celebrations across the country.
Dustin Douglas and the Electric Gentlemen kicked things off at 5:00 p.m., followed by Parker Barrow at 7:00 p.m., with the Ghost Town Blues Band closing out the event from 9:00 p.m. onwards.
The festival continues until Saturday evening, featuring food trucks, live music, and a beer garden daily.
Don’t overlook this, as tomorrow is Zydeco night.
