Short-Term Travel Using Expired Passports

According to this policy, women impacted by recent changes will have permission to utilize their previous Kuwaiti passports for overseas trips throughout the four-month period. This move aims to assist such women in resolving their legal standing and obtaining proper identification documents, whether from their home country or through acquiring an alternative passport enabling them to legally reside in Kuwait.

Although the travel timeframe extends over four months, the complete legal adjustment duration covers a whole year, concluding by May 31, 2026.

Conditions and Deadlines Apply

The Ministry has stated unequivocally that no exemptions will be provided. People have to adhere rigorously to all protocols to remain eligible for whatever benefits or assistance may still be available. This encompasses:

Initiate the legal modification procedure during the initial quarter, up until August 31, 2025. Provide evidence of intention, like submitting a passport application or officially contacting an embassy. Prevent hold-ups since failing to take action can lead to losing support privileges.
