) — Officials from the Midwest Honor Flight stated they’re
still raising money
for their upcoming
Mission 26,
which is scheduled to depart from Sioux Gateway Airport on June 3.
Members of the
Thunder on the Missouri
reported their
11th event raised
nearly $11,000 for the nonprofit’s journey this coming June.

The team is awaiting sponsorship from two sources, with authorities indicating this could boost the funds gathered above $12,000.
The gathering on Sunday featured over 100 cars participating, attracting approximately 300 spectators for the ceremonial proceedings.
Once the veterans return from their trip with the Midwest Honor Flight, everyone is invited to gather at the Hawthorne Aviation Hangar to greet them upon arrival. Feel free to create banners or hand out cards for these returning heroes. Just remember that bringing balloons along is prohibited.
The team is anticipated to return by about 9 p.m. on June 3rd, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. for the event.
