Ocean Springs, Miss. (WLOX) — Beginning this week, the Ocean Springs Chamber Main Street will be distributing a ’99 Days of Summer’ calendar.
When you visit the downtown visitor center, you’ll have the opportunity to obtain a schedule brimming with events throughout the city.
Every day from now till Labor Day comes with an activity for you to undertake—whether it’s exploring something new, having some quality time with your loved ones, or simply stepping outside your comfort zone.
Cynthia Sutton, who serves as the President and CEO of the OS Chamber Main Street, states that this calendar aids in attracting patrons to both established and emerging local enterprises, simultaneously offering children and their families an opportunity to discover the city.
“It’s a collection of enjoyable activities, which have evolved over time to keep pace with current trends and developments in Ocean Springs. The main idea remains the same: take your time and fully enjoy what this town offers,” explains Sutton.
Below are examples of various activities planned for the remainder of this week:
- Wednesday, May 28: Mark National Hamburger Day by enjoying your go-to burger at one of the Ocean Springs eateries.
- Thursday, May 29: Prepare your own homemade ice cream
- Friday, May 30: Mark National Creativity Day by working on an art piece at BYOBrush
- Saturday, May 31: Launch a shared family Instagram profile
- Sunday, June 1: Head over to snap a photo in front of the Wild Flier mural
The calendar itself is completely free and can be picked up at the visitor center in downtown Ocean Springs.
