SILVIS, Ill. (KWQC) — Families engaged in an interactive event over Memorial Day weekend in Silvis.
The Touch A Truck event allows families to get up close with various kinds of vehicles such as fire trucks, police cars, construction equipment, tractors, and emergency services vehicles.
People who joined got to understand how various vehicles function, as well as their applications, converse with the experts who handle them, and snap some pictures.
A family that was present mentioned that the Touch A Truck event provided their children with an opportunity to view the vehicles and individuals they admire from our local area.
It’s fantastic,” remarked Tabitha Oles, a Rock Island local. “This event allows children to get an up-close view of the trucks they often see. Particularly those vehicles such as police cars which they admire; this offers them a great opportunity to visualize what the rides of the individuals they look up to really resemble.
The people present were able to indulge in complimentary ice cream along with the food trucks.
