The Taco Fest held at Goodale Park ended prematurely on Saturday evening due to multiple altercations, as stated by Sydney Kondas, who co-coordinated the event. Originally set to conclude at 10 p.m., authorities instructed participants to depart approximately two-and-a-half hours earlier, around 7:30 p.m.
Kondas mentioned that they will introduce some modifications tomorrow. The rules will specify that only individuals who are 21 years old or older will be allowed, with no exceptions.
For those affected by the early closure, the festival will honor Saturday’s tickets on Sunday.
“Anyone who had tickets for today but couldn’t use them will have those honored tomorrow. The same rules will apply when we reopen at noon,” Kondas stated additionally.
To guarantee the safety of visitors, Taco Fest will strengthen security protocols on Sunday.
We’re enhancing our security measures to provide an extra layer of protection tomorrow. In my estimation, we’ve significantly bolstered our officer presence,” Kondas stated. “These additional personnel will be stationed throughout the entrances and exits as well. As previously mentioned, strict enforcement of the age restrictions will be in place starting tomorrow.
