The White Squirrel Weekend returns to downtown Brevard for its 21st anniversary, offering an array of live music, delicious food, and refreshing beer.
On Friday, May 23, the streets were bustling with attendees from the moment the festivities began, as folks strolled along Main Street to enjoy everything this year’s festival presented.
Brevard gets ready for a three-day festivity honoring its distinctive white squirrel population.
A number of the sellers originate locally, hailing from Brevard as well as various other areas within Western North Carolina.
The festival concludes on Sunday, May 25, followed by a Memorial Day celebration on Monday.
A NEW ALBINO WHITE SQUIRREL HAS TAKEN OVER AS BREVARD’S SYMBOLIC REPRESENTATIVE FOR WHITE SQUIRREL DAY, FOLLOWING THE PASSING OF PISGAH PENNY.
The event takes place from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
