A significant number of people from Georgia plan to travel during the upcoming summer season. According to AAA The Auto Club Group, 58 percent of Georgians intend to embark on vacation trips this summer.
A recent poll indicates that 39% of people in Georgia intend to increase their summer vacation plans. Conversely, 22% of respondents expect to decrease their travel frequency; among these, 58% express worries related to personal finances, whereas 42% are concerned about economic conditions.
Over fifty percent of Georgians (55%) who are preparing for a summer trip aim to head to a beach location. Approximately three in ten people (29%) plan to explore cities or large metropolitan areas, another 29% are set to visit a theme park, one-fifth (21%) intend to journey to a national or state park, and an equivalent percentage (21%) will be going to a lakeside area.
June and July are the peak months for summer vacations, with 47% traveling in June and 46% in July.
“June and July lead summer travel due to their consistent weather, school holidays, and high vacation demand,” stated Debbie Haas, Vice President of Travel at AAA.
