ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The deadline to get your REAL ID is this Wednesday, May 7.
REAL ID identification cards have a star in the corner of the license. Citizens will need it to fly domestically without a passport, enter a military base, and other federal buildings.
Transportation Security Administration will begin enforcing the long-delayed federal ID requirements starting May 7. This could mean long delays if your identification isn’t updated.
The Alaska Department of Motor Vehicles says over 350,000 Alaskans already have one.
