asking more than 3,000 moms
What restaurants do they wish to visit for a Mother’s Day dinner on May 11?
In the top selections favored by mothers, two locations in Central Jersey stood out: one was a well-known event space coupled with a restaurant spanning 10 acres, while the other specialized in offering innovative takes on dishes ranging from deer meat to cream puffs.
The Frog and the Peach, New Brunswick
If your mom loves good food, then taking her to the Frog and the Peach might be ideal for Mother’s Day. This restaurant ranked as the second favorite choice among New Jersey eateries that mothers prefer visiting during this special day.
For more than 40 years, the New Brunswick landmark has raised the bar when it comes to American classics, serving creative, upscale and seasonal large and small plates. It also offers an extensive yet approachable wine list.
On Mother’s Day, from noon until 7 p.m., The Frog and the Peach will offer a three-course fixed-price meal for $84 per adult and $38 per child aged between 6 and 12 years old. Children younger than six may choose items from the kids’ menu at individual prices.
The fixed-price menu offers selections like black truffle ricotta gnocchi, grilled leg of lamb, and coconut carrot cheesecake.

The popular special event venue is located on 10 acres in the Watchung Mountains and serves elevated American comfort food made from locally-sourced ingredients.
On Mother’s Day, it will offer a brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for $79 per adult and $30 per child under 12. The buffet will include stations for omelets, waffles, meats, breakfast items, salads, desserts and more.
