NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – The North Platte Public Library is organizing a Book Bazaar where visitors can contribute to the library’s growth and possibly find lightly used books to bring home.
“The Book Bazaar differs from our usual book sale held in another room; however, it operates over an extended duration. Tables will remain set up throughout, with us restocking them as we unpack more boxes. Visitors can peruse the selections, choose what they like, drop their donations into the designated box, and take home their chosen items,” explained Shelly Deardoff.
Deardoff states that the earnings from the Book Bazaar will directly support the North Platte Public Library.
“The supporters of the library are organizing this fundraising event. Therefore, they will convene to determine their next funding priorities. In previous efforts, they’ve contributed to window upgrades and external aspects of the structure. Currently, we’re considering internal elements that haven’t been repainted for nearly two decades; these may also be included in our plans. Additionally, we’ll explore various other improvements within the library,” stated Deardoff.
