Iowa Park’s Bike Trails Are the Sole Iowa Gem in Midwest Living’s Best Travel Spots

A leisure park located in western Iowa has been included amongst the top destinations for travel within the Midwest region for the year 2025.

A publication focused on the area’s culture and lifestyle has unveiled its top travel spots in the Midwest for 2025. This is the sole location from Iowa highlighted in their selection, along with details on visiting this spot personally.

Sioux City’s Cone Park ranks as one of the top travel spots in the Midwest, says Midwest Living.

Cone Park
was one of three additional outdoor areas featured in Midwest Living’s list.

In Sioux City, Cone Park spans 35 acres and provides recreational activities throughout the year. During the wintertime, visitors can enjoy features such as a lengthy 700-foot tube slide, an expansive 5,400-square-foot ice rink, and a cozy lodge.


In summertime, the ice rink transforms into a splash pad, while mountain bikers have access to more than 10 miles of soft-surface paths, a two-mile paved trail circuit, and jumps within Cone Park’s mountain bike park. Additionally, the tubing hill remains functional during this season, equipped with misters for enhanced comfort.
