The OpenTable compilation of 100 brunch locations encompasses eateries across 25 different states. Nearly one-fourth of these spots were in California, boasting 22 entries on the list; this was trailed by New York with 12 and Illinois with 11 establishments featured.
The list also includes representatives from Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, as well as the District of Columbia.
This compilation relies on over 10.5 million diner reviews collected through OpenTable bookings between January 1 and December 31, 2004. To qualify for inclusion, restaurants needed to meet specific minimum criteria regarding the total number of reviews received. The analysis factored in several distinctive metrics such as the proportion of five-star ratings, the rate at which reservations were made ahead of time, and how often places were directly searched for online. Additionally, feedback related to brunch experiences along with whether spots were available for Sunday lunches played into the final selection process.
This Mother’s Day, consumers are expected to spend a record-breaking $34.1 billion, as per the yearly customer survey conducted by the National Retail Federation.
