After an accidental demise of a promising young artist, a medical examiner has urged Transport for London to implement additional measures aimed at reducing the chances of intoxicated riders perishing within the Tube system.
Last November 2nd, a 31-year-old woman named Sarah Cunningham was killed when she jumped onto the tracks and went into the Tube tunnel, getting hit by a Northern line Night Tube train.
During the inquest for Ms Cunningham’s death on April 9, coroner Mary Hassell mentioned that she consumed a mix of painkillers and alcohol during a night out in Camden Town. She became “extremely drunk” and was “unaware of her actions.”
