SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – As of today, Tuesday marks the final opportunity for residents and visitors alike to see the historic fountain in Forsyth Park within downtown Savannah before it undergoes complete renovation. Its full operation won’t resume until after this extensive refurbishment concludes.
The Savannah Downtown Business Association announced on Monday, June 23, that the fountain will be taken out for restoration purposes, and the whole surrounding region will not be accessible during this removal process.
The fountain serves as an important reference point for tourists and is also a favored location for capturing wedding photographs.
