A new D23 Spotlight Series event this month celebrates the 55th anniversary of the Walt Disney Archives.
Walt Disney Archives: Walt Disney Archives 55th Anniversary Celebration
Since 1970, the Walt Disney Archives has been collecting and preserving the history and magic of The Walt Disney Company. To celebrate this very special department’s 55th anniversary, D23 Gold Members are invited to an exclusive Archives presentation—including Archives director Becky Cline—at Walt Disney World Resort, diving into the department’s history, and how the group collaborates with partners across the company to safeguard and share the thousands of treasures in its historical collection.
This presentation will be at AMC Dine-In Disney Springs 24 on June 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET. Tickets are $32 + a $3 processing fee for Gold Members and are
available for purchase on the D23 website

A ticket grants entry to the exclusive showcase and panel talk, along with a limited-edition set of D23 commemorative postcards featuring highlights from the Archives collection’s most prized items. Additionally, it comes with an event badge, a free drink at AMC Theatres, and a complimentary bag of popcorn at the same venue.
D23 Gold Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and up to one guest. Tickets are non-transferable. All guests under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Children under the age of 3 may attend without a ticket, but must lap sit due to limited seating. Only ticketed guests will receive event gifts.
All D23 Members must present a valid D23 Membership card (physical or digital) along with a valid event ticket at check-in.
