EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville Flag Group is working with the Evansville Otters to raise funds for a memorial for a beloved fan.
The team intends to install a lasting tribute outside of Bosse Field in honor of flag chairman Marvin Gray.
It was mentioned that the Otters sported city flag jerseys during Saturday’s game in their tribute to him.
Gray had been a passionate sports enthusiast and a dedicated supporter of Evansville athletes for many years. He was often referred to as Evansville’s top sports fanatic.
He died in 2016.
Over $690 has been collected
for the memorial.
A chair within the stadium is presently reserved for Gray.
