The suggested expansion includes 36 countries, including important U.S. allies like Egypt, with 25 located in Africa.

A representative from the State Department declined to comment on ongoing internal deliberations, whereas the White House chose not to reply to requests for information about the issue, according to The Post.
The memorandum details several standards that these nations apparently aren’t adhering to, according to The Post. These include:
- Elevated instances of visa violations among their nationals within the USA.
- The absence of an effective administration to provide trustworthy identification papers.
- Widespread government fraud.
