HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) — Eight performers from Maui have advanced to the final round of “Hawaii to the World,” a talent contest and show organized by the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA) and broadcasted on Hawaii News Now.
The finalists will perform live on June 29 at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center in front of a judging panel, showcasing an array of acts from classic tunes and narrative sessions to modern musical genres.
They appear in sequence as follows:
- ʻĀinaty
- Pono Beatbox
- S.O.S. Hoas
- Leimana Purdy
- TJ and the Maui County Band
- Max Angel
- Silky Sister
- Namaka Pau‘ole
We were genuinely impressed by the caliber of skill and commitment shown by each contestant,” stated Blaine Miyasato, the chief brand officer and executive producer at CNHA. “The chosen finalists represent the essence and remarkable talents present throughout our islands.
Admission to the live event on June 29 costs $40.
A single finalist will be selected to participate in the finale on December 14 at the Ko Olina Resort located in Oahu.
A secondary ” wildcard” contestant will be chosen by viewers after the broadcast of the show’s Maui episode on Sunday, November 2nd.
