Florida Man Foils Security: Books 120 Free Flights as Fake Flight Attendant

For four distinct airlines, 120 complimentary trips were reserved across a span of six years.

The U.S. Attorney from the Southern District of Florida reports that 35-year-old Tiron Alexander falsely posed as a flight attendant for several major airlines from 2018 through 2024. During this time, he gained unauthorized access to airline systems meant exclusively for employees so he could reserve complimentary flights utilizing his supposed staff perks.

On June 5, Alexander was found guilty ofwire fraud and falsely gaining entry into a secured airport zone. The legal papers mention several airlines including Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, andDelta Air Lines.

Alexander took 34 free trips by impersonating a crewmember or staff on an airline, employing 30 distinct identification codes and employment start dates for these bookings. Additionally, he posed as a flight attendant for three other carriers to secure even more journeys at no cost.

Alexander is set to be sentenced on August 25. The highest possible sentence for wire fraud is 20 years, and he faces up to an additional 10 years for falsely accessing secured airport zones.
