The revised schedule was prompted because two of the leased aircraft for the sector failed to take off from Charlotte Douglas International Airport due to distinct issues.

One involved a late flight arriving from Singapore. The other incident occurred due to an aircraft being grounded for reasons including but not limited to maintenance issues.
Passengers were referred to as experiencing “a minor surge”
as they made their way down the runway for departure.

Regardless of what was making the sound, it led to significant issues with one of the aircraft’s engines. As a result, personnel from the Haas Factory Team had to get into a van and drive to Atlanta so they could catch a commercial flight to Mexico City.

Various professionals from different sectors who were stuck in Charlotte tried to arrange alternative transportation arrangements. However, many of them struggled to do so, as Ryan Ellis from DGM Racing pointed out, because of the severe weather conditions in the region.
Ellis posted on X
, the platform formerly known as Twitter, and said that his commercial flight kept getting delayed, which sent him home from the airport.
