LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A small aircraft had to make an emergency landing at the North Las Vegas Airport, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
A police helicopter conducting a regular patrol was notified of an “in-flight emergency in the sky” over the airport early Thursday morning, according to authorities.
The LVMPD managed to find the aircraft and informed both the North Las Vegas Air Traffic Control Tower and the pilot about the malfunctioning deployment of the landing gear.
Around 10:30 a.m., the pilot communicated about the equipment failure.
The police uploaded footage of the aircraft touching down at the airport onto their social media platforms and commented, “Due to rapid response and exceptional ability, the pilot carried out a perfect emergency landing with the undercarriage retracted.”
Those on board managed to “exit unharmed,” the police also noted.
