MOREHEAD CITY, N.C. (WITN) – A single vessel has set free a blue marlin, concluding the fourth day of Big Rock.

‘Demolished Profits’ connected at 2:21 p.m. and set free the blue marlin at 8:49 p.m.

All other vessels were required to reel in their lines by 3:0pm.

‘Bankwalker’ returned shortly before 9:00 p.m. last night, hauling in a 449.7-pound blue marlin.

The vessel connected with the blue marlin around 2:20 p.m., and it required three hours to land the fish.

Angler Lizzie Montague caught the top blue marlin, with the Bankwalker being skippered by her father, Bryant Montague.

Authorities state that the Level V Fabulous Fisher’s Prize of $807,500 remains available for anyone who can catch the first 500-pound Blue Marlin.

Every one of the 271 boats was on the water for today’s fishing expedition.

The overall prize money for this year’s competition stands at $6.3 million.
