On Wednesday, Ecobedo announced in a press statement that he feels privileged to introduce the flavors of Mexico City’s street cuisine to the heart of the city.

The Nooworks store at 236 Powell Street has recently opened its doors in Union Square.

“Reviving downtown San Francisco involves developing areas to transform this region into a bustling 24/7 community,” stated Mayor Daniel Lurie. “Our efforts have only begun—we will continue to support local enterprises to drive our city’s resurgence.”

The continuous Vacant to Vibrant initiative has been breathing new life into unused areas in San Francisco that stood empty, particularly since the onset of the pandemic.
