Devonshire neighborhood
Nestled discreetly amongst houses, lies a trail that remains unknown to most. Following the course of a slender stream, those who chance upon it often become devoted to it and seldom forget it.

With 425 residences, the borders of the Devonshire community are defined by Ashurst and East 65th Streets to the north, Fall Creek Road to the south, Harbridge Road along with the Hillcrest Country Club to the east, and Brixton Lane together with Binford Boulevard to the west.

Keith Green mentioned that he aims to jog at least 6 miles out of the total 12-mile Fall Creek Greenway trail located near the Devonshire neighborhood each morning. Gazing at the spacious houses inspires him and fuels his motivation to establish objectives so that someday he can own something similar to those properties.

“Unlike the Monon Trail which follows a direct path, this trail features twists and turns allowing you to observe various natural elements,” Green explained.

The path provides abundant natural resources, featuring multiple forested gullies that house a diverse array of woodland flora and fauna.

Mary Klein, a resident of the area, mentioned that she has been visiting this trail for the last decade. She refers to it as a hidden treasure and noted that she rarely encounters many people or unfamiliar faces there.

You still have your regular visitors,” Klein remarked. “I began coming here to walk my dog. It’s a very pleasant and tranquil spot, right by the water and surrounded by trees.

During the pandemic, Holleigh Grisby began hiking the trail as a way to leave her home. She appreciates the peacefulness of the location, particularly early in the day.

“Because of how lowkey it is, not a lot of people know about the beautiful trail here or the homes,” Grisby said. “There are some shady spots on the trail, too, when the sun is out. People can go boating, fishing, and picnicking on the water.”
