LUBBOCK, Texas
— The Best Massage Spa in Lubbock, along with seven other massage businesses across Texas, is facing a six-month closure due to alleged involvement in human trafficking activities.
As of Tuesday, Best Massage Spa displays two notices on its main entrance. One is a Closure Notice by Emergency Order issued by the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation, and the other is a message from a person named Emily, which you can see below.
As stated in a statement from the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation, an inquiry revealed multiple infractions which encompassed staff members lacking proper licensing or residing at the premises, as well as unlawful advertisements suggesting that the venue provided sexual services.
According to the statement issued, the investigators collaborating with TDLR mentioned that all eight massage businesses under closure are owned by Ruiying Lian, Hongcui Hao, and Tianli Wang, and these entities are linked via Tongfuxin LLC and Tongfu LLC.
