OMAHA, Neb. (WOWt) – A large tent has been erected outside the downtown Hilton in Omaha.
Additionally, there’s fresh landscaping along with new synthetic grass. The interior boasts an enormous expanse of area.
It has the capacity to expand from 5,400 square feet to 15,000 square feet.
Robert Sabin, the general manager of the Omaha Hilton, informed First Alert 6 that they require additional space for conferences and gatherings in downtown Omaha.
“The venue has truly come into existence due to the remarkable demand that meeting planners across the nation have shown for Omaha,” Sabin stated.
You know, since the Convention Center is getting an expansion, we noticed there was a need to grow our meeting options here at the Hilton Omaha as well.
This area can serve as a venue for wedding celebrations, charitable gatherings, or personal festivities; and according to Sabin, the Hilton has installed a drainage system to ensure the turf remains dry and free from mud.
“We conducted the proof-of-concept, and over the past three years, we’ve hosted outdoor tent events during the College World Series right here, attracting massive crowds,” Sabin stated.
So, what we understand is that when it rains, mud appears.
Sabin thinks that the updated drainage system will enhance the site for events during the forthcoming College World Series.
Authorities informed First Alert 6 that the area will be accessible from April until early October, with several weddings already scheduled at the location.
