Bay Beach Offers Exclusive After-Hours Access for Students with Disabilities

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The doors of the Bay Beach Amusement Park in Green Bay swung open on Tuesday evening as the Green Bay Preble Optimist Club organized an exclusive event inviting students who have physical and cognitive disabilities along with their family members or caregivers.

Although generally open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 27, the park remained open for additional hours to provide students with an opportunity to experience the attractions in a calm and welcoming setting.

Governor Evers carries on his yearly “Pothole Patrol” tour across Wisconsin with a stop in Oshkosh.

“We anticipate having more than 300 people join us this year, which means plenty of happy faces around,” stated a member of the Green Bay Preble Optimist Club. “Supporting our local community is at the heart of everything we do; giving back is what defines us.”

The organization expresses its hope to keep organizing such events, ensuring that every child can experience the enjoyment Bay Beach provides.
