HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla.
– The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue (HCFR) team, along with the Florida Forestry Service personnel, is presently tackling a major brushfire at Alafia River State Park.
The blaze, situated close to Thatcher Road and just east of County Road 39, was initially reported at 6:51 PM tonight.
According to the most recent report, the fire has spread across roughly 400 acres. An intense operation is currently taking place, involving 22 HCFR units that have been working at the scene for the last three hours combating the flames.
