HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Following 24 days at sea, a man from Oregon and his feline companion reached Oahu.
Oliver Widger, who goes by the handle @SailingWithPhoenix, is recognized for his work under the name Sailing with Phoenix.

arrived at Waikiki Yacht Harbor on Saturday morning around 10 a.m.
Canoes and several other boats welcomed Widger into the harbor as he sailed in.
The individual, who was 29 years old and lacked any experience with open-water navigation, shared updates of his adventure through various social platforms.
Widger was diagnosed with a rare spinal condition
, which prompted him to quit his job, buy a boat, and learn how to sail.
He said he plans to stay in Hawaii for six months and then head to French Polynesia.
A party took place at the yacht club at midday.
