HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) – Looking for a water park to check out this summer? Serengeti Springs could be just what you’re searching for.
On Saturday, the water park celebrated its inaugural opening day for the season.
It’s a local hot spot that people are excited to see back open.
“Observing everyone unite, including those from the Avenues and Midtowns, as they arrive in their golf carts. It feels similar to a community swimming pool,” stated Demetric Kelly, who serves as the director of guest services and retail at Serengeti Springs.
Kelly views the opening day as successful due to high sales numbers.
“A lot of season pass holders arriving to get their wristbands and make sure that their cabanas are set up, and then our day pass purchasers are arriving as well, and we’re selling tons of tickets at the gate,” Kelly explained.
The locals aren’t the only ones looking forward to the water park opening; even the staff members are pleased to return to work.
The team has put in considerable effort to ensure this season is enjoyable, and they’re excited about their upcoming summer gatherings.
“You’ll form lasting friendships during your time here, which is why I’m thrilled about making new connections and continuing the relationships with those I’ve already met,” stated Samuel Haydel, who works as a lifeguard at Serengeti Springs.
Enjoying the lazy river or zooming down the water slides is not all that visitors have to anticipate.
Another aspect that the staff has been diligently working on involves the introduction of new dining choices.
With new additions to our menu, delightful sweets designed to refresh you, and exclusive offerings just for grown-ups too.
Serengeti Springs will operate every day of the week from 10 AM to 6 PM during this summer season.
