Constructed in 1920, the carousel has resided at Battleship Cove since the beginning of the 1990s.

“The childhood visits to the carousel were incredible times for me when I was with my grandmother and stepmother,” stated Karl Pelletier, the founder of Red Oak Hospitality, who assisted in restoring thecarousel.

Pelletier mentioned his plan to launch a bookstore along with a café in the vicinity. He expressed his desire for the carousel to operate throughout the entire year rather than only during seasons.

When beginning work on the carousel project, Pelletier informed NBC 10 of his desire to restore its former splendor.

Pelletier mentioned, ‘We realized it required some care.’ We understood it had to be managed in a manner that truly maximizes what we have here.’
