Memorial Day Celebration: 35 Years of Joy in Voyager Park, De Pere

DE PERE, Wis. (WBAY) — The upcoming holiday weekend signifies the 35th year of Celebrate De Pere, an event happening at Voyager Park from Saturday until Monday.

The three-day festival began on Saturday morning, offering a wide range of activities for attendees.

From drone performances to live tunes, carnival attractions, car exhibitions, firework displays, cuisine offerings, and a dedicated zone for children.

We talked to a group of young adults browsing the event, who mentioned it’s also a chance to contemplate those who have sacrificed everything while serving their duties.

“Well, this is fantastic because veterans contribute significantly to our nation, and giving back holds considerable value,” states Owen Kiel from De Pere.

“I really enjoy being able to hang out with my buddies and soak up the pleasant weather,” remarks Joel Adejumo from Green Bay.

“Just a great opportunity to enjoy some fun times with loved ones or buddies, and it’s also a wonderful way to pay tribute to our veterans,” states Nathaniel Manos from De Pere.

The day’s activities will wrap up with a drone display above the Fox River on Saturday.
