On Saturday, Main Street in Hannibal teemed with crowds as they kicked off the inaugural day of the yearly Twain on Main festival.
In 2025, this event will occur for the 17th time, with timings set from 10 AM to 7 PM on Saturday and from 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday.
Rickelle Pimentel, the event manager for Twain on Main, stated that there was significant community enthusiasm prior to the commencement of the celebrations.
“It began incredibly well. People were arriving as early as nine o’clock. Even though the event was scheduled to kick off at ten, there were already shoppers around. Everyone’s excitement is palpable, and it promises to be an excellent experience. Attendees will enjoy viewing costumes and various forms of entertainment. This event offers enjoyable activities suitable for every age group,” Pimentel mentioned.
At the event, anyone had access to more than 100 vendors offering food, beverages, and various goods. Additionally, there were performances of live music along with other forms of entertainment.
Pimentel was pleased on Saturday to observe that the unfavorable weather stayed clear of the outdoor event as well.
“I’ve been behaving well with the hope that the weather would improve. This year, our vendors were genuinely anticipating favorable conditions. Initially, we expected rain throughout the entire weekend. However, upon arriving today, we found the cloudy skies to be ideal. The attendance has been impressive so far,” Pimentel stated.
