A kitten in St. Johns County narrowly avoided using up one of its nine lives when it was saved from an oyster bar in intercoastal waters near Crescent Beach on Saturday, according to officials.
On Saturday, the St. Johns County Marine Rescue shared that a kitten aptly called “Oyster” was saved by two people paddling kayaks at an oyster reef close to the State Road 206 Bridge in Crescent Beach. These rescuers discovered her trapped and clearly upset.
The marine rescue team reacted once the kitten had been saved.
