Jennifer Aniston Shares the Odd Item She Always Packs for Her European Getaways

Packing for Europe differs significantly from preparing for a domestic journey. After recently returning from an intense tour across Europe, I can confirm this observation. Prior to our departure, I spent numerous nights shopping on Amazon to ensure I had all necessary items, particularly various technological devices like these.

Aside from tech gadgets to keep everyone connected and powered up, I generally don’t bring anything out of the ordinary when traveling. In contrast to Jill Zarin, who was part of the original cast of Bravo’s
The Real Housewives of New York City
, who once journeyed to Europe with a suitcase packed full of Diet Coke bottles and cans. She herself stated, “I smuggled my Diet Coke into the country from the U.S. as they don’t sell it in Europe. The closest alternatives are Coke Light and Coke Zero but she found them unsatisfactory.”

Sure, when discussing the topic of packing odd items, Hollywood superstar Jennifer Aniston shared her insights during an interview with the
Wall Street Journal
.
According to the article
“She is very sure of her preferences regarding food and drinks. When traveling through Europe, she packs her own pimento-stuffed olives because she wants to ensure access to a good dirty martini whenever she desires one. The memory of once finding a kalamata olive in her drink haunts her; explaining what a pimento was proved challenging for someone not familiar with it. (In desperation, she had gestured towards an olive emoji.) Thinking about the olives in her suitcase, she chuckles. ‘I am clear about my tastes.’”

During her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kimmel questioned Aniston about whether it was indeed true that she carried olives during her travels, as well as addressing various other rumors.

I must admit: Although I would never include Diet Coke or jars of olives in my baggage, I understand her point about knowing exactly what you desire. As someone who enjoys tea, I can be quite selective. Herbal teas, green teas, chai teas, fruity blends, mint, ginger, or lemon zest are not for me. I prefer good old English Breakfast tea and frequently bring along some teabags when traveling. Actually, I’ve sometimes taken this preference to extremes.
buy a travel kettle
since I doubt the cleanliness of the electric kettles provided in hotel rooms.

FYI:

One of my most worthwhile buys was a portable electric kettle. I find myself using it constantly during stays at hotels where I can easily make an ideal cup of tea whenever needed. Additionally, this handy gadget comes to the rescue when the little ones crave some instant ramen; such cravings seem endless. To sum up, having this kettle has spared me considerable expenses on pricey teas and treats for them each time we’re traveling.

However, getting back to Jill and Jennifer and others who bring liquids with them during trips—maybe not as many bottles of soda like those found in a convenience store’s stockpile, yet possibly some wine collected from various destinations. Ensure you pack these items securely to avoid arriving at your destination only to discover a big mess inside your luggage.

These items feature a vinyl cover and are intended for transporting bottles within your suitcase. Reusable and leak-proof, they also provide padding similar to bubble wrap and include both internal and external seals to keep the bottle safely contained and avoid spills in your belongings. While these products are specifically made to safeguard wine bottles, they can be utilized to encapsulate any type of liquid-filled bottle to stop leaks.
