Na In-Woo Stars as Enigmatic Heir in Korea-Japan Blockbuster ‘Hatsukoku Dogs’

Na In Woo is poised to lead an innovative Korean-Japanese joint drama project.

On May 7th, Studio Dragon and Japan’s TBS revealed plans for a collaborative romantic drama series they will produce together.
Hatsukoi Dogs
(Titled “First Love Dogs”) is set to debut this July. The show will run for 10 consecutive Tuesdays, comprising a total of 10 episodes.

Hatsukoi Dogs
is about a heartwarming love story focused on a family dog with a significant hidden truth. It revolves around a Korean conglomerate heir, a Japanese vet, and a lawyer who form bonds and mend their broken hearts despite challenges.

The production team has notable credentials. Among the producers is Masako Miyazaki,

Na In-Woo will portray Woo Seo-Ha, the heir of a wealthy family who seems harmless but possesses exceptional skills. He has moved from South Korea to Japan. Joining him in the cast is Kaya Kiyohara, playing Aiko Hanamura, a divorcé lawyer who asserts that love does not exist yet yearns for belief in it. Additionally, Ryo Narita takes on the role of Kai Shirosaki, a compassionate vet who shows kindness to all but maintains emotional boundaries with others.

Hatsukoi Dogs
Emerging from an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between CJ ENM and TBS Group in 2011, both parties have since fostered collaboration through creator exchanges. Professionals from CJ ENM, Studio Dragon, and TBS travel back and forth between their respective nations to exchange knowledge about production techniques and present intellectual properties ripe for joint ventures.
