LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The American Windmill Museum was recognized for inspiring curiosity and pride in Texas history.
The Texas Travel Alliance has designated it as the top “Attraction” among those in Texas.
It also recognized Shelley Harris, who is the board president of the museum, as the state’s best “Museum or Attraction Guide.”
This award recognizes his passionate leadership and dedication to preserving and promoting state history.
The American Windmill Museum is the largest windmill museum in the world. It features more than 200 historic windmills, immersive exhibits including five detailed model train layouts and educational programs that draw visitors from across the nation and beyond.
